Well I've found myself quite integrated into the older generation. Or rather, the generation right above the "Youth" and the generation just barely above that group as well. I frequently get comments from people in singles ward that compliment me on my amazing maturity. Anyone that doesn't know me assumes I'm like 23 or some other silly age like that!! I love everyone in Mount Bonnell, and they really are my ward family.
As for that other generation.. I mean the young married folk from my home ward that I babysit for!! Even people that used to be my young womens leaders and such. I now count them among my friends and chat with them from time to time when I see them. I have started to generally refer to most of them by their first names too. Just seems really weird calling them Sister Bird or Sister Summers, et cetera!! Because I do feel close to them, and they are my friends, and it's not like I don't have plenty of other friends their age!! It became most apparent to me when a bunch of the young married women had organized a night to go see Twilight and I was invited along by many of them. I was sad I couldn't make it, because I had other plans. It would have been a lot of fun hanging out with them like that, and not just coming to their house to babysit their kids! lol. And I realized that I do feel a bond of friendship with them. It's alot of fun!! Makes me feel all grown up, feeling free to call the married folk by their first names.
Well, that's all!!
8 more days to go after tonight until I leave for Idaho!!
